Weekly Mens & Ladies Golf Report 21/9/25
Saturday’s 2 Person Ambrose event proceeded smoothly with no reports of fractured friendships or broken marriages.
Laurie Radley and son Brett won the men’s comp with Nett 65 ½, the day’s best score while President Mick McAuliffe and Rob Geisler finished as runner’s up with an even Nett 67.
In a closely contested affair, the mixed event was won by Graeme and Sharon Harrison with 70 ¼ and a slender margin of half a shot from Paul and Denise Pappin who finished with Nett 70 ¾.
Balls in the ball comp were won by Lawrie Casey and Mick Gallivan with Nett 70 ¼, Kelly and Tim Cheong ((71), Alan Curnow and Judy Greer (71) and Jenni and Kevin Bauele (Nett 71).
John Neale and Marilyn West won Nearest the Pin ball on the 3rd, Alan Curnow the voucher on the 15th and Paul Kuiper the ball for nearest second shot on the ninth.
Tuesday’s results have gone missing so I am unable to provide you with those results.
With this week’s Grand Final public holiday on Friday the ladies M&H team will run a Stableford event (Men’s and Ladies) with assembly at 930am for a 10am tee off.
Saturday’s comp will be a Stableford book event so those that wish to play will need to organise their own groups and pay their comp fee through the card slot.
Given this scheduling I will take a week’s break and be back with the report on the October Medal round in a fortnight.

Ladies Wednesday Golf:
Last week was a good week on the golf course for Von Morris.
While a wet day on the sand scrapes at Rochester on Tuesday was not so successful, Morris returned to Valley View on Wednesday to win the Par event on a count back from Jan McHale. Both finished square. She also claimed nearest the pin.
Come Friday, Morris travelled to Shepparton, and was the winner of the Swaggers Stableford event with 39 points.
