Ladies Wednesday Golf
Valley View Women enjoyed a Stableford round last Wednesday. Our thanks to our generous sponsor, Sarah Ross from Ky Remedial Massage.
Excellent scores were the order of the day, none better than the 43 points Von Morris recorded to win A Grade, which earned her another visit from the handicapper.
Marilyn West’s 38 points, normally a winning score, meant she was runner up. Tracey Wade, whose excellent putt earned her a birdie, was nearest the pin.
Helen Armstrong, was the B Grade winner with 38 points, just one shot ahead of Wendy Cox with 37 points.
Congratulations to Jenni Bauerle who again registered a podium finish away from home when she was runner up in B Grade on day one at Tocumwal’s two day event.
Grand Final Day Holiday Golf
A Stableford round was played on Friday, in lieu of Saturday golf to allow players to enjoy what turned out to be a sad day for our Geelong supporters.
Identical results in A and B Grade for the men. Graeme Harrison was the winner in A Grade with 39 points followed by runner up, Glenn Laity on 38 points. Lindsay Tatterson, 39 points, was the winner in B Grade, from David Collins with 38 points.
Sharon Harrison saluted in the women’s competition with 36 points to make it a successful day for the Harrison family. Marie Watt was runner up with 35 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Peter Noble on the 3rd, Glen Laity on the 12th, Vonnie Morris on the 15th and Nat McAuliffe with the second shot on the 9th.
Balls down the line were won by: Paul Kuiper 37, Nathan Kuiper 36, Laurie Casey 35 and Peter Mangan, Helen Armstrong, Jenni Bauerle and Bud Thorsen with 34 points.
Good news for those who enjoy Valley View’s tasty salad rolls. They will be back on the menu on Saturday.
