Weekly Golf Report 28.12.25

The good field that turned out for the last Saturday event of 2025 produced some very consistent scores.

David Collins continued to make the most of his return to A grade with a round of 37 points that saw him sneak home as the A grade winner in a countback from Pooch McHale.

B grade 2025 Champion Rob Geisler did not get off to the best start failing to score on the first with a triple bogey seven but was quickly back on track with three consecutive pars as he put together the day’s equal best score of 38 points steering clear of a three-way countback for runner up.

That countback was contested by John Canavan, Laurie Radley and Ian Scurrah, all with 36 points, as the countback fell John’s way.

Tracey Wade was the ladies’ winner with the other round of 38 points and she also had a two-shot margin as Trudy Denham took out the runner’s up trophy with 36 points in a countback from Marlene Topp.

Balls went to Mick Pell, Laurie Radley, Ian Scurrah, Peter Mangan, Marlene Topp (all with 36 points) along with David Kennett, Kevin Bauerle and Ian Rathjen all with 35 points.

The field made hard work of the par three’s with only three trophies claimed and they went to Ben Knight (A grade 3rd) Shaun Bassett (B grade 3rd) and David Kennett (voucher on 15th).

Best second shot balls went to Tracey Wade (9th) and Brett Radley (13th).
