Weekly Golf Report - 25/5/2025
The best 4 ball pairings in Saturday’s Isaac Memorial 4 Ball Par qualifier produced some good scores with the best figure of +5 recorded by two pairs in Alan Curnow & Kerry Kreeck and David Collins & John Burrows as they qualified for the semi-final round in that order.
Alan and Kerry will play Paul Dickens and Steve Usher who qualified fourth with the score of +3 as did Gavon Armstrong and Glen Laity who qualified third and will play David and John in the next round.
Paul Pappin and Laurie Radley won balls with the score of 4 up but, as Paul is not a member, they were not eligible for the Isaac Memorial event.
Meanwhile the ladies participated in an individual Stableford event with Jenni Bauerle a comfortable winner with 38 points.
Jenni left the rest of the field in her wake with Helen Emery claiming the runner’s up trophy with 32 points from Lynne Canavan.
Nearest the Pin trophies on the day went to Kevin Bauerle (A grade on the 3rd), Steve Usher (A grade 12th), Laurie Radley (B grade 12th) and Jenni Bauerle (12th).
A big thank you to our event sponsors in the Isaac Family and Albion Motors who have been associated with this event for longer than anyone can remember.
There were some very good scores on Tuesday, none better than PETER NOBLE who is expecting a big write up after winning A grade with 40 points in a countback from Pooch McHale.
Kelly Cheong finished one shot back with 39 points and lead the all-A grade group of ball winners that also featured Kevin Bauerle with 36 points, Graeme Harrison (35) and Mick Coyne (34.
B grade was also decided by countback with John Neale getting across the line ahead of Ron Dixon after both had 35 points.
Steve Hammond (A grade) and Kevin Wootten (B grade) won Nearest the Pin balls on the 3rd while Tony Williams won the voucher on the 15th.
