Ladies Weekly Golf Report 3/12/25

A draw for partners after playing a Stableford round resulted in Bev Lyon and Helen Emery being declared the winners with a total of 76 points. Tracey Wade and Judy Sutton were runners up with 68 points. Nearest the pins were won by Jan McHale and Marie Watt. Our generous sponsor for the day was Sharon Harrison, who decorated our tables for Christmas lunch, and provided trophies in the spirit of Christmas for our winners.

Pennant Win: Congratulations to our combined Valley View/ Mooroopna team who defeated Cobram Barooga 2, 3/2 at Hill top to win the GMGA 4 Ball Summer Pennant. Having lost to their opponents in the opening round, it was a satisfying win for the team who remained undefeated for the rest of the season. The Valley View players were Helen Armstrong, Captain, Wanda Hacon, Wendy Cox, Von Morris and Helen Emery who substituted for Gill Thorsen, when Gill was on the injured list. Judy Greer was also a substitute for one week.
