Ladies Golf Report

Wednesday’s golf for Valley View women was a 4BBB Stableford to honour the memory of Bess Wood for her contribution to Valley View as a player and leader which earned her a Life Membership. We thank the Wood family for their continued support of this event.

Menzies Challenge Bowl & Joyce Broadbent Shield

On Friday Valley View hosted 70 women golfers from across the Goulburn Murray for the combined GMGA Joyce Broadbent Perpetual Challenge, named for one of the Goulburn Murray’s most successful women golfers and Valley View’s Menzies Bowl. We thank Deb Kitt from Boomerang Travel for her long term generous sponsorship of our Bowl.

Playing in teams of three, the winners were able to have their names engraved on both trophies.

Sonya Verlinden, Nancy Dunn and Janet Pycroft from Nathalia returned a combined score of 115 Stableford points to claim that honour.

Individual winners were:

A Grade: Sally Naylor with 38 points on a count back from her fellow Shepparton player, Allison Keogh.

B Grade: Chris Dwyer from Shepparton with 40 points.

C Grade: Terri Giffen from Parkland who continued her fine form when playing at Valley View, with 45 points.

Nearest the pins were won by Allison Keogh and Robyn Wallace.
