Ladies Weekly Golf Report 13/4/24

It was a busy week for Valley View golfers. Wendy Cox began a stellar week on Tuesday, when she was the B Grade winner at Parkland's Bell Day. Gloria Pell was runner up in C Grade.

On Wednesday, the competition was 18 holes Foursomes, kindly sponsored by Australian Consolidated Milk. Best Scratch score went to Jenni Bauerle and Leanne Busch with 94. The Handicap winners were Wendy Cox and Von Morris with 72.5.

Tracey Wade was nearest the pin.

Friday was our Menzies Bowl day, sponsored by our long time supporter, Debbie Kitt at Boomerang Travel. Visitors from across the Goulburn Murray joined us for the teams of four, best 3 Stableford scores count, event. Last year's winners went back to back to claim the win with 115 points. Fresh from their win on Wednesday, Wendy Cox and Von Morris teamed with Marie Watt and Jan McHale to once again have their names inscribed on the magnificent trophy.

Best scores for those not in the winning team were from Trish Sandrett with 38 points in A Grade and Jenny Hindson with 35 points in B Grade, both players from Cobram Barroga. In C Grade two players fro Nathalia finished with 35 points. Sonia Verlinden won the count back from Heather Frostick.

Nearest the pins were won by Sally Gough from Rich River in A Grade, Wanda Hacon in B Grade and Wendy Cox in C Grade.

The over 55 best score was won by Von Morris with 39 points to complete her very successful week.

Monday the 22nd sees the start of the Winter Pennant competition.  Valley View is fielding teams in Divisions one and three.
