Ladies Wednesday & Jewellery Day Report
On Monday 28th September, Valley View hosted 60 women for our annual Jewellery Day. Conditions were perfect for golf and the possibility of winning beautiful silver bracelets provided by our very generous sponsor Kyabram Showcase Jewellers, brought golfers from across the GMGA and also Bendigo.
Players contested a 4BBB Stroke event. Scores on the day were very good with the majority of the field returning scores better than the course PAR of 74.
Winners with the exceptional score of 63 Nett, 11 strokes under PAR, were Terri Giffen and Linda Durling from Parkland. Runners up, Leesa Barnes and Janet Pycroft from Nathalia finished two shots back on 65 Nett.
Allison Keogh from Shepparton enjoyed an excellent day on the Par 3’s, taking home the Nearest the pin on the 15th and the Pot of Gold on the 3rd. Cards had to be drawn to find the winners in B and C Grades on the 15th, when no one was able to land their ball on the green. Lucky winners were Barb McCarty from Rochester and Ann McPherson from Parkland/ Rich River.
